SAQ - should ask questions
is this piece food safe?
yes — all glazes are food safe and fired to maturity. your coffee will taste exactly as it should.
will it look exactly like the photo?
close, but not exactly. that’s the point. every piece is thrown by hand which means every piece is its own thing. sisters, not twins.
what makes this different from something mass made?
a machine didn’t make it. a person did — at a wheel, with wet hands, making decisions in real time. that process lives in the object. you can feel it when you hold it.
why does it cost what it costs?
because of the hours, the materials, the kiln, the studio, the years of practice it took to make something that looks this effortless. handmade isn’t a premium. it’s the actual price.
what does GOODYNUF mean?
it means good enough is a choice, not a compromise. it means imperfection is proof something was made by a human. it means the mark left by a hand is the point, not the problem.
why ceramics?
because clay doesn’t lie. you can feel every decision that was made. there’s no hiding in it.
do you teach?
yes. because making something with your hands changes how you move through the world and everyone deserves to know that.
